KINGSTON, Jamaica, March 26 — The Vincentian Students Association (Jamaica) held its first heritage lecture on Saturday.

Vincentian entomologist, Dr. Eric Garraway delivered the inaugural lecture on the topic “Naturalists in Hairouna”.

The lecture looked at endemic, indigenous and introduced plant and animal species in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The presentation, which was streamed live on the Internet, was well received by the audience of Vincentian students and residents, as well as Jamaican well-wishers. Garraway entertained a question and answer segment, following which, the audience was treated to refreshments while pulsating rhythms of yester-year played in the background.

The lecture was moderated by Vincentian resident in Jamaica, Errol Maloney, and was sponsored by Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
