Eustace to miss OECS Assembly sitting because of ‘other obligations’

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, March 26, IWN — Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace will not attend the sitting of the OECS Assembly in Antigua today – Tuesday – because of other obligations.

“I have some other obligations today and tomorrow which I cannot avoid,” he said Monday on his weekly radio programme.

Eustace noted that opposition legislator Dr. Godwin Friday, who is Parliamentary Representative for the Northern Grenadines and a vice-president of the New Democratic Party, will attend the meeting.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines will also be represented by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E. Gonsalves; Minister of Health, Clayton Burgin; and Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar.

At this Sitting, the Assembly will be adopting its Rules of Procedure and debating the a motion on “The Challenges to the Free Movement of Persons within the OECS Economic Union”, and an amendment to the Civil Aviation Act, Regulations — Civil Aviation (Aeronautical Telecommunications) Regulations and Civil Aviation (Amendment) Regulations

As chair of the OECS Authority, Gonsalves will present the motion and the draft bill for debate.

  1. Eustace missed the last meeting of the House of Parliament and now he missed the OECS Assembly meeting in Antigua.

    Yes, this is the FELLA who says he wants to be the PRIME MINISTER of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

    Look at Eustace’s FACE. Does he look like he is READY to MANAGE a MAUBY SHOP much less a COUNTRY?
