Fuel prices decrease slightly

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, March 20, IWN — Consumers here began paying less for fuel on Monday.

The figures, sent to the media on Tuesday, show a 7 cents decline in the price per gallon of diesel, a 49 cents drop in gasoline, and a 16 reduction in kerosene.

The wholesale price of diesel is now $13.10 and the retail price $13.71.

The wholesale price of gasoline is $13.87 and $14.57, retail.

Kerosene now stands at $12.62 wholesale and $13.33 retail.

  1. How about telling us how much of those figures are tax and duty, how much is the governments share?

    Also tell us how much of the PetroCarib bill is being paid and how much is being used as a loan for the Argyle airport.

    Because if we take 40% from PetroCaribe and put it in the airport, the result of such is a 40% tax on Vincentian people. Because somewhere down the road the 40% will have to be repaid by SVG tax payers [which is everyone of us] which means we have paid the 40% twice.

    This must be another Gonsalves master stroke. Can we now confirm that many Vincentions are stupid, they just love being lied to and conned.
