DUBLIN, Ireland – The Northern Ireland Assembly and Business Trust (NIABT) organised a select delegation of members from the public and private sector for a two-day educational visit to the Houses of the Oireachtus – Irish Parliament.

The Dublin programme centred around discussions and briefings with various committees and departments to further strengthen North-South collaboration on the island of Ireland within the context of sovereignty, sectors of the economy and existing legislation.

Dr. Christopher Stange, honorary consul for St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Northern Ireland and Secretariat of the Consular Association for Northern Ireland (CA-NI) with David McClarty MLA lead the discussion with David Cooney, secretary-general and officials at Iveagh House — Headquarters of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The NIABT was established in 2002 offering parliamentarians and the business sector in Northern Ireland an educational and information platform to develop a greater understanding of respective needs.
