Cop could provide PM’s ‘impeccable’ intelligence – Leacock

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – Local and Antiguan police could provide Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves with the “Impeccable” intelligence about the opposition New Democratic Party’s recent trip to Antigua, according to NDP Vice-President St. Clair Leacock.

Gonsalves said this week that he has “impeccable” intelligence that the leadership of the NDP two weeks ago met with their financiers in Antigua to discuss a no-confidence motion against his government and reinstating an economic citizenship programme here.

“… we understand fully that if three, four, five of us leave here on party business, on state business, to represent the best interest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines … that from the time we sign our immigration form at E.T. Joshua Airport, the Special Branch will call the Prime Minister and say ‘Mr. Eustace, Mr. Leacock, Dr. Friday, Vynnette Friday and the treasurer of the party are at the airport and they are departing to a destination’,” Leacock said on radio.

“We expect that. We know also that, on the basis of that experience before, … he will call Antigua and say [to Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer,] ‘Mr. Eustace is coming to Antigua. Put your Special Branch on their case. Put a driver behind them, trail them see what hotel they are in, see what they are doing, what they had for tea, what they had for breakfast, what they had for dinner,” Leacock further said.

“That’s how I expect Dr. Gonsalves to function,” Leacock further said, adding that during the 2010 election campaign, Gonsalves said he could have told Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace which hotel room Eustace was going in during a trip overseas.

“So perhaps he could even tell you which underpants he wears,” Leacock further stated. He said that while the NDP is intelligent to know how Gonsalves operates, it doesn’t participate in clandestine activities.

“The Prime Minister … has a way of dealing with the Vincentian public, sometimes we say ‘fool ah talk but nah fool ah listen’. And he obviously has got to the stage of life now that he believes that Vincentians are essentially a dotish bunch of people who can be manipulated.

“… That he can say just about anything to us and we would swallow that hook, line and sinker. And one gets the impression that he himself is so immersed into this approach now that he actually believes in his lies.”

  1. What is Leacock talking when he said “on STATE BUSINESS to represent the best interest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines”?

Is the NDP the GOVERNMENT of St. Vincent and the Grenadines?

This is the same party who was DENYING that they wanted to SELL VINCENTIAN PASSPORTS to UNSCRUPULOUS FOREIGNERS.

It is MIND-BOGGLING that people DEFEND this party called the NDP. Moreover IMPORTANTLY, they want it to govern this BLESSED NATION.

  4. KILLER, is the NDP the GOVERNING PARTY of SVG?

Is EUSTACE the PRIME MINISTER of SVG?

Did he went to CONDUCT BUSINESS with the GOVERNMENT/PRIME MINISTER or the OPPOSITION PARTY/OPPOSITION LEADER in ANTIGUA?

If the ANSWER to these QUESTIONS is NO, FEEL FREE to tell us why he would say he went “on STATE BUSINESS to represent the best interest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines?”

It is AMAZING that Eustace and the NDP continue to EMBARRASS THEMSELVES and the NATION, yet the likes of you and others still want this INEPT LEADER and PARTY to GOVERN SVG.

This just shows that we have VINCENTIANS who SIMPLY do not CARE about the BEST INTEREST of this NATION, because they only care about their SELF INTEREST and that of the party they SUPPORT.

    • “It is AMAZING that Eustace and the NDP continue to EMBARRASS THEMSELVES and the NATION”

…VINCY POWA, Let me ask you this: When Ralph, the Prime Misinster, of SVG was charge of Rape was he or SVG embarrassed? Ralph allowed public telephones to be disconnected because we nah have the money to pay. Is this embarrasing to SVG? We cannot buy medicine for we hospital, is SVG embarrassed? We have to rush an patch up the bad roads just for the visit of the Queen people and the cricketers. Is that embarrassing? Ralph mash-up and lick-up we NCB and we Marketting board, now he gwine for the NIS Is this embarrassing? Ralph can’t even spray the bananas, an industry that made over $100M a year can only now ship 250 boxes per week under Ralph and the ULP. Is this embarrassing? People wuking and can’t get pay for months. Is this embarrassing? SVG is the worse performing economy in the western hemisphere. Dat nah embarrassing? I can go on and on, but people should get the vibe.

The point is this: if your conclusion is that because Eustace and the NDP complain that their privacy is invaded by the ULP and Ralph as: “embarassing the nation and themselves” what do you call all this sh*t Ralph doing to we country? Development and promoting the Country? You gotta be joking…. right? What is your assumption here? We are all a bunches ah Dumb A**es?

  6. Killer , the man does not have an original thought in his head….. ah weary tell him that. You notice he has no comments whatsoever about the phone situation?

    • I notice I didn’t see anything from POWA on his government’s negligence; putting the lives of Vincentians at risk. How in the hell you could be so bad to cause all the emergency phones lines in the country to be cut off for non payment? Some other departments’ lines have been cut off for years. Disgrace!!

  8. VINCY IN BAD SHAPE aka SIMPLETON, why don’t you show me an ORIGINAL THOUGHT that can be seen in any of your postings?

You threw out that PHRASE as if most of what you have posted on this BLOG had ORIGINALITY. All I have seen throughout your POSTINGS were just NOISE-MAKING and RANTS, as DEMONSTRATED in the post that I am RESPONDING to.

See if you can ADDRESS the ISSUE that I RAISE from the ARTICLE. Of course, you cannot and so this is what you have been REDUCED to.

From your FLIPPANT EXPRESSION, clearly you do not know anything about how government works. Moreover, it is obvious that you do not READ KEENLY what is put before your eyes, else you would have RECOGNIZED the comment made by Leacock is a FALLACY, because nowhere in the article by Kenton Chance did Leacock mention that he and his colleagues went to Antigua to meet with that government or the OPPOSITION PARTY of that government. So right off the bat, if you had any COMMONSENSE or UNDERSTOOD how government works, you would have RECOGNIZED that they could not have gone on any “STATE BUSINESS to represent the best interest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Moreover, COMMONSENSE says that the PRIME MINISTER of SVG did not send Eustace and the NDP to ANTIGUA to REPRESENT his GOVERNMENT in any “STATE BUSINESS.”

But of course, you LACK COMMONSENSE or any ANALYTICAL ABILITIES and that is why you resort to NOISE-MAKING about not having any ORIGINAL THOUGHT.

If you’re LACKING in “ORIGINAL THOUGHT,” do not PROJECT THOUGHTS of SELF unto me.

    See you around BUB.

    • All your blah blah blah about how government works is getting tiresome, tell me this Mr Simon Anderson, when Ralph went and signed us onto ALBA, without even telling the vincy people before and after his trip, is that how government works??? Ralph did not have the decency to tell his people that he signed us onto ALBA.

When has Ralph ever sent anyone from the opposition on state business??? A few months aback, there was a conference for women in politics held in the Caribbean and it was Mr Eustace who sent the female members of his party, I don’t even think ralph wasted his time to send Ms Miguel.

As far as i’m concerned they went on NDP business. Case closed!!!

I’m happy that you know all too well how government works…… tell me this, having the phones cut off, for lack of payment, because you are broke, and then coming in a press conference and saying you silently rejoiced about this. Is that how government works? Come on Mr Simon Anderson, why are you so reluctant to comment on the phone issue?? give us a statement, please on that matter Mr Anderson

  9. Persons enter our shores all the time for free and we have bear the cost of the courts and airlines to deport them, at least if we could ‘sell’ 2 or 3 passports a month we could pay the phone bills or pay the suppliers for medication at the hospital.

  10. Maurice Bishop of Grenada tapped hundreds of telephone of opposition. Bishop regarded any opposition as counter revolutionary. He had police special branch sneaking about spying on people, then locking people up without trial to silence them. Gonsalves has told us several times that he is here to finish the work of Maurice Bishop. Having failed to say what part of Bishops work he is referring to, we must assume the worst.

Gonsalves is a very nasty little fat Marxist mischief maker, living in the past, Humpty Dumpty the 20 dollar fertilizer man.

  11. Can we have some simple answers to the following questions:

Is the SVG police or any section or particular member or officer/s being used as political police by or on behalf of a leading member of the ULP?

Are the police involved in any illegal surveillance activities?

Are the police involved in any illegal intelligence gathering activities?

Are the police being used by the ULP as their private police force?

Have any members of the police, regular police force, SSU, Black Squad, Special Squad or the secret police been on any course to Cuba or to the ALBA Military School for military training, or/and political training and instruction, or any other form of training?

Has the SVG government or any government agency employed a Canadian firm specialising in surveillance and telephonic intelligence gathering?

  13. Read the article “CARICOM leaders say change must come” read the post regarding Gonsalves friend Bouterse, President of CARICOM.

    Posted by Peter | March 12, 2012, 09:23
  14. How about Bouterse, any comments about this creature? Well the silence from VINCYPOWA is deafening, probably got orders from Gonsalves to stay quite.

Come on some of you Marxist scum bags, lets have some spin, give us something laugh about.

    ALBA TO SWALLOW CARICOM

ALBA MILITARY SCHOOL TRAINING VINCENTIANS IN URBAN AND VILLAGE WARFARE

ALBA MILITARY SCHOOL TRAINING VINCENTIANS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE, SCIENTIFIC SOCIALISM, MARXISM.

ALBA CONSTITUTION SUPERSEDES SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES CONSTITUTION

COUNTRY SOLD OUT TO ALBA, REMOVAL OF QUEEN NECESSARY TO MOVE FORWARD

If Gonsalves had succeeded with changing the referendum, we would already be rid of the Queen, and would all be subject to a Caribbean horror story.
