KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – The man wanted by police in connection with the stabbing attack of his girlfriend and another woman on Saturday is now in police custody.

Well-placed sources tell I-Witness News that the father of Derrick Shawn John, 38, of Gomea turned him in to police Wednesday morning.

John is suspected of inflicting multiple stab wounds on Keneisha Belgraves of Brighton, his girlfriend of 14 years and mother of his two children, and Claudine Simmons of Green Hill.

Reports say that the stabbing took place in the presence of the two children, who, along with John and Simmons, were in a vehicle driven by Belgraves.

Belgraves who was discharged from hospital Monday, is said to have received 18 stab wounds during the attack, allegedly by the man with whom she has been living for four years.

While the sources told I-Witness News that John was in fact in police custody, they were not in a position to say what crimes, if any, he had been charged with.

  1. If this statement is true about the father then that is a great initial step towards homebase and PERHAPS community base organisation on crimes. When criminals know they will be turned in to the police they will have second thoughts, and when the Judges increase the penalty for crimes they will have first thoughts. RALPH GONSALVES KNOWS HOW TO SUE FOLKS FOR SERIOUS PENALTIES. HOW ABOUT GETTING SERIOUS PENALTIES FOR CRIMINALS.
WHY FOR ONCE EVERYONE CANNOT GET THE SAME JUSTICE INSTEAD OF A PARTICULAR SET??? WHAT A DAMM SHAME!
