Man thrown into boiling water dies

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent – A 23-year-old man who allegedly was thrown into boiling water with his hands bound last month has died.

Well placed sources tell I-Witness News that Junior Lowman died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) early New Year’s Day.

He was reportedly thrown into a “copper” of boiling water with his hands tied, according to Internet reports.

“Copper” refers to the large metal containers used to bake the local staple farine, made of cassava.

Lowman was in intensive care at the MCMH after the incident, which reportedly took place in the Rabacca mountains on Dec. 23.

“Every time I see my son I cannot eat, I cannot sleep. How could they treat people children like this? Oh my God! How did they feel when he screamed? How did they feel. They pushed him into the copper with his hands tied. I can’t understand these things. How could living, breathing people do these things?” Lowman’s mother, Ingrid Bristol of Georgetown is said to have told The News newspaper, according to Internet reports.

Information reaching I-Witness News suggests that Lowman might have been thrown into the water after he saw some men killing a sheep while he went into the mountains to dig yams.

  4. This is unbelievable. We need to pray a lot because there are many demonic forces out there. My condolences to the Lowman family.

    • Finally, a believer has hit the nail on the right hammer. WE NEED TO PRAY……. An ordinary human being cannot kill another. People allow demonic forces to inhabit them when they open themselves to a sinful life without repentance. This is why everyone reading this article keeps repeating “this is unbelievable!!, what is going on?”. The truth of what is going on is spiritual wickedness in high places overshadowing the nation of Saint Vincent. Don’t you remember the beheading CRIME that happened a few years past.

WAKE UP SVG………….YOU ALL NEED TO PRAY!!!!

  9. Whatever the facts of this case the boy could never deserve such treatment. It just shows you can take some of these people out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of them.

My heart and thoughts go to the family, God bless you all.

Lets those who did such a dastardly deed get locked up for life without release.

I have just been looking at ALBA countries for 2011, the ALBA states have higher crime rate increases than elsewhere in the world. SVG, crime is out of control since Gonsalves came to power. Venezuela crime is one of the worst records in the world. Since Chavez came to power in 1999 the murder rate has jumped from 4,550 in that year to 19,335 [53 a day] in 2011. That is 4 times higher than Mexico. You see when you have a thug leader like Chavez, it affects the general population, people emulate their leaders.

Bad behaviour by leaders should not be tolerated, bad language and indecent gestures should not tolerated. It affects the youth for sure, if the big man can do that, so can we.

I hope that no one believes for a moment the comment by NO NONSENSE about the UK Court of Appeal, we cannot trust the Judiciary in the Caribbean, London is the last resort to get real time justice. They do not release killers and murderers as NN tries to imply, this is a typical ULP Marxist spin. They hope to take away the eye from the crime reasons here in SVG.
