  2. Goodday Vincentians as you have realized that almost every day you wake up there is another situation of murder, robbery, rape and usually involve some brutal physical assault. Now as these savage behavior make progress, the question is how can we vincentian combat these atrocities. My opinion is that every one needs to stand up and be his brother or sister keeper. We need to be get more involved in ‘Community Watch’. We have to abolish this “me for me” and “you for you” phylosophy.

In addition, the police need to play a more important role in crime dectection and prevention. Years ago there were just a few old fashion police transport and crime detection equipments when the crime rate was lower. Nowadays, there are plenty modern police equipments and they still can’t get the job done. Shame! Shame! are the words to the police department. Nowadays, it seems like peolpe living in SVG lives worth less than a single fly.

Where is the bulk of the tax payers money going? Who is geting the fat salaries? The people who can buy a licence fire arm to try and protect themselves. But still not even those Elites can protect themselves with there own guns. Look what happen in Pembrooke!

These scenarios suggest that if the law and Authority do not step up ,our island’s may be renamed “Saint Fierce and Deadly”. Is the commissioner of police knows what the hell he is doing? Every thing in SVG is so caught up in a political afair that every one is no longer focussing on doing a job effectively. What a shame!

Now I am not saying that the police can be every where to stop a crime, but if more unit mobilization is done over a 24 hr period, the chances of crime-rate deescalation will improve. Police cannnot sit down and wait for crimecalls or the criminal activities will outnumbered the crimecalls on a ratio of a 10 to 1 scale/mth.

There are citizens who may criticised the police for doing their job inappropriately. There are time when that is so true and it should be still assessed on the seriousness of the crime invovled. However, if on he other hand that there is a loose and “dangerous psycho” running about murdering people that person has just achieved him or her degree for ‘no longer worthy to be in society’ and I agree that that crazy psychopath must be brought in “dead or live” since Svg does have a death penalty.

  3. More evidence of the sickness of our society under a ULP government. Lets hope the police can apprehend the culprit/s as soon as possible.

  4. THE POLICE CANNOT FIND THE TIME TO LOOK FOR THE SERIOUS CRIMANIALS BUT THE COULD LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH 5 GRAMMS WEED, LOCK THEM UP AND WASTE THE COURT TIME , ONLY TO GET CHARGE OF 50.00, THE POLICE NEED TO GET SERIOUS WITH THE CRIMES IN THE LAND, PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO WALK THE STREET NOW, AFRAID THAT THEY WILL GET ROB AND EVEN GET RAPE, LETS TRY TO DEAL WITH SERIOUS FOR THE NEW YEAR COMING BOTH PUBLIC AND POLICE, HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND PROSPIOUS NEW YEAR.

  5. ULP’s idea of fighting Crime: Centralzed the police force. Build large police complex and put plenty police “in dey”. Buy plenty police vehicles fo’ police to ride up and down the road. Go ‘pon’ TV and tell people how you build big station, construct shooting range and get the Taiwanese people to ‘gee’ plenty motor bikes. The reality: no police presence at critical times. Why should police go out to fight crime when they can relax in comfort at the big station? You report a crime, police can’t come because they have no gas to put in the transport, or the transport “nah dey”.

In other countries where the gov’ment is really concern about crimes, there are small police post at almost every other corner. In Japan for example, the polices are stationed in some 20-foot-like-containers( Nicely done up of course) at every turn( and Japan ha! plenty money). The police are decentralised and scattered in every block across the cities, villages and towns. You call a police and they are there within a few minutes. They patrol the roads 24/7, on foot and in vehicles. In SVG, It is time some sense be applied to logistics where the police force is concern. But then again, is Ralph running the show so forget about “sense”. Focus on the “show”.

  6. Mr OlBAP I truly believed that like Japan the police in Svg need to be ‘decentralised in every block across, vilages and towns’ Even though the degree of dispersement might not the same level as Japan or the big countries. I wonder WHY my favorite student VINCY POWA did not respond to this beating of Mr Greaves as yet. He takes time to COPY the dictionary to write three pages of nonsense over matters regarding his Uncle or Auntie Daniel about overtaking a driver on the road. But here is a man beaten up and left to die now need 40K for surgery- a matter which may or could have been intercepted by police if they had showed more concern in crime prevention. Is it because VINCY POWA Government is in RULING why he is silence to this matter?
I want people like Vincy Powa to knows that I am not a party supporter, may be things can change later. However, what I do know is that I am for the behalf of the citizens welfare and to help advocate for the upholding of the constitution laws of the ST. Vincent and the Grenadines.

  7. If all of you who leaves comments had known Mr. Greaves personally everyone of you would have different opinions. First of all Ralph did not send or put a glass of run in Mr. Greaves hand and tell him to drink it and get drunk, he did not tell him to behave like an ignorant ass and get into trouble with his opponent and end up in the situation where he is in today. Stop blaming government and mouthing off vincy Powa about ruling party for every shit happy until you really know the truth. I have known Mr. Greaves as children growing up and i would not go into details but i am sure he bring what he get on his own and it was not no damn robbery that cause it…

  8. Dear responder,
Since I am one of the person who respond I will speak for the people. I believe that all the folks who respond have symphaty and compassion for another Vincentian brutality and so each one of us take the Greaves incident to elaborate more on crimes in general. Hence the criminal act becomes more than a Greaves matter.

    Read some quotes from others:

1.”Goodday Vincentian as you have realized that almost every everty day you wake up there is another situation of crimes of murder, robbery rape………How can we Vincentian combat these atrosities”

2.”Lets hope the police can apprehend the culprits as soon as possible”

3.”The reality no police present at critical times. Why should police go out to fight crimes when they can relax in comfort at the big stations”

YES VINCY POWA WAS MENTIONED BECAUSE IF ONE IS GOING TO BE NOSY IN EVERY OTHER SOCIAL AFFAIRS THEN CRIME IS ALSO A SOCIAL AFFAIRS REGARDLESS TO WHO IS WRONG OR RIGHT.

THIS IS WHY I AM FOR THE PEOPLE,NO fooling about that regardless to what party you support. ( SEE YOU FOLKS SOON)
